Our story began with our founder, Glenn Hamanaka, whose childhood fascination with painting inspired him to start the company. Glenn’s passion was sparked by painting bicycles and gradually evolved into a professional career, where he honed his skills and expertise to deliver exceptional craftsmanship.

 

Our Story

 

HAMANAKA PAINTING CO., CO. was founded by Glenn Hamanaka in March 1993, inspired by his early experiences with painting bicycles and other projects. Over the years, Glenn transitioned into professional painting, working on commercial projects and custom homes. His journey reflects a commitment to quality and innovation, which remains the cornerstone of our success today.​

From humble beginnings, HAMANAKA PAINTING CO., CO. has steadily grown by navigating challenges and seizing opportunities. Key milestones in our journey include:

  • 1998: Transitioned from a one-person operation to a dedicated team of skilled professionals.

  • 2000: Completed our first major commercial project, a significant expansion to the Cher-Ae Heights Casino.

  • 2004: Implemented advanced timekeeping solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  • 2007: Purchased our first aerial equipment, expanding our capabilities for larger projects.

  • 2010: Built and moved into our first office building, establishing a permanent base for our operations.
